What is most inspiring to me about being an Integral Coach is…

I am able to understand my client’s experience with a clear mind, body, and heart, which allows my clients to be seen, held and propelled into their greatest potential for sustainable growth. What results is a synergistic groove—a dance that helps my clients and I experience a more fulfilling life.

Some significant life experiences, education, or practices that have contributed to my ability as an Integral Coach are…

I have spent the past five years producing many Integral workshops, working closely with several teachers in the community, including Ken Wilber, Diane Musho Hamilton, Sofia Diaz, and Marc Gafni.

Here are a few important things I’ve learned (and am still learning) through that experience:

I’ve learned how holding multiple perspectives actually frees me to simultaneously know my truth and honor other’s truths, without getting lost in either. I’ve learned to love and serve from the heart. I know now that my body is not just an adversarial carrier of my head. It’s my vehicle to a deepening of my presence and understanding. I’ve learned about forgiveness, patience, and true compassion. I’ve recognized so much more of my Self, and have gained the confidence and trust I needed to give my gifts. I’ve learned many of the best tools to help others learn, grow, and manifest what they most want in their lives.

One of the most important things I’ve learned is that practice is not just something you do (or don’t do) at night and on weekends. It’s a moment-by-moment engagement of self-awareness, fearlessness, and compassion. And, it is beautiful, incredibly challenging, and a lifelong endeavor.

I’ve also dealt with divorce, death, and health challenges. These experiences have shaped me and continue to be my teachers.

Integral Life Practices I am currently involved in are meditation, yoga, dancing, bringing increased awareness and more of myself to every moment, relating with others, service, gratefulness, perspective taking, cooking, dog-rearing, aesthetics and design, procreative science, and the practice of life.

I live an Integral life because…

The journey, for me, is about integrating all the parts of my being, so that family becomes art and work-passion and health-divine. I seek to live increasingly towards a seamless symphony, while knowing and being profoundly ok when I am out of tune.

Something that people would be surprised to learn about me is…

I owned and operated a large and successful restaurant and brewery for 8 years. What an exercise in perspectives! Balancing all the employees and their vastly different jobs, all the patrons and their vastly different needs and responses, all very much in the moment as well as always holding a longer view…phew! I am simultaneously glad to be out of that profession, will always miss that kind of action, and am incredibly grateful for the immense experience I gained and fun I had.
