More comment:  We all think/feel/believe that it so important to passionately and continually move and work for personal, mutual and cultural evolution, and to stand up for what we "believe". AND, even though no one may know what really causes anyone to move from one level and stage to another along any or all of their lines of development, my experience has been that we CAN personally effect or at least influence the  "Healthy Manifestations" of whatever level or stage others (and ourselves) are relatively "at" by our actions, words, artful and musical expressions, and perhaps most importantly, our passion, true respect, integrity, love and genuine kindness - as well as, when required, our "tough love".  And if we're "lucky", in addition to being responsible to the best of our ability for the WAY we interact with WHOM, we may be able, due to our "nature" to push and evolve, create an  effective (which is unique for each of us and also has a very critical TIMING element unique to the situation at hand) evolution BEYOND the "healthy manifestation status quo - which we all know is so deeply and preciously important" of "who" interacts with "whom" about "what" .  This is getting too wordy, but I obviously mean for it to be applied to the discussion at hand about "what is sexual harrassment".  Most of all, thank you all so much.  Love, Peggy

I love this.  To have so many of my one-time vague thoughts, feelings, questions, fears, guilts and so on brought out into light to be discussed is such a joy, a prayer, a release, an opportunity to delve more seriously and deeply into this all. It's an offering of shared exploration into something that I have often explored solely within because of both non-comprehension from others as well as my own fear of being misunderstood or negatively judged or offending a precious woman OR man.  But no more of that . . .  ??  In any case, Thank you!  As so often on these pages - a breath of fresh air and rich soil, moist warmth, love and open-ness to the unknown and not yet formed.  Being as truly alive as we can muster with grace, strength, discipline, integrity and massively beautiful love as we dive into this thing called life!

Love and sexuality are such basic and absolutely delicious innate aspects of everything we are.  And it's so complicated, and yet we know that there are also levels and that ALL are not "equal", and that though we don't want to deny our sexual and beautiful power, there ARE "moral" lines" of development, and that "fully expressing yourself" around certain people may very well lead to consequences that you do not "want", simply because other people may have other "cultural and/or moral values"  and be at other levels of development.  It ain't easy, but that's no excuse.  A person might not think others' reactions are "our responsibility"  - but, actually, it might BE our responsibility. Or, rather, it is and it isn't. It is often a choice we have to make. And every situation is different. Sometimes someone at a level/stage that sees your actions, attitudes and dress as a "come-on", will act as though it is, EVEN though at YOUR level/stage/whatever it was just your being gloriously, lovingly, beautifully "who you are".  But that's also pretty narcissitic.  Part of growing and changing is being more responsible - Just Because.  NO one said it was "fair".  Do I sound like a parent talking to a teenage girl?  Well, that is a part of it.  And I do NOT claim to be holding the whole conversation here - there is a whole lot more to it than the aspect I am concentrating on.  By the way I was a teenage girl in the early 70's who wore very provocative clothes (though I was also a national honor society student, very smart, on the drill team, popular, very attractive, etc.), and now I'm a mom (with a wonderful husband) of 3 teenage boys!

Okay, enough about me.  I just wanted to express how much I love bringing this "conversation" out into the open!!!  Viva la diference!  And have you been to an hispanic, french or italian country lately? What do you think?

Oh, dear...

Should I move my other comment over to this one so you can delete the other post? I'd be happy to.
