Your happy death approaches. Get busy.

I'm an entrepreneur focused on 21st century transformation.  Since a Satori-grade awakening in 2003 I've seen through the game and now enjoy dancing in and out of cultures, with a focus on establishing companies and fostering movements that challenge people to wake up and grow up.  I'm a descendant of Martin Luther, so I suspect large-scale social transformation is literally in my DNA.  I've done so since I was 22, when I wrote a business plan to transform the State of Nevada to greater "cultural wealth." Since then it's been a non-stop ride, and I've co-founded or been involved with a wide range of organizations designed to stir it up...

Currently I am the Chairman of Integral Life, Inc. and volunteer CEO of Integral Institute, Inc., the world's most advanced human development think tank.  I was a co-founding member of the Conscious Capitalism Institute.

Previously I founded and was Managing Partner of Nevada Ventures, Nevada's first venture capital fund, where among other companies we funded Alere (NYSE:ALR), which became the largest disease management company in the US.  In order to further Nevada’s research agenda in emerging scientific fields, in 2001 I co-founded the Nevada Ventures Nanoscience Program at the University of Nevada.  In 2004, the program spun-out Nevada Nanotechnology Systems, Inc., whose nano-scale detection of explosive, chemical and biological substances was published in Nature and in Scientific American as the best defense-related technology of 2004.  About that time we also purchased the largest car wash distributor in the Western US; apparently clean cars are important for social well-being.  Prior to that I co-founded and was President of the Reno-Tahoe chapter of the Entrepreneur's Organization (formerly YEO).  I also co-founded the Reno High Technology Development Group, which became the Nevada Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology, the first technology economic development organization in Nevada.

In 2001 I was honored as one of the "Top 40 Under 40" in Nevada by the Nevada Business Journal and as the 2002 Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the State of Nevada.

I absolutely adore my two children and my wife and consider myself the luckiest man alive because of them.  I'm a gourmet chef hack, and I dig wine, weightlifting, nutrition, any sport with a ball, skiing, philosophy, meditation, reading and video games.   I also love integral hacking, which is the art and science of designing practices that blow one's life into new territory of awesomeness.

My big downside as an Enneagram 8 with a 7 wing, is I get bored easily and don't suffer fools well.  Which only makes me the fool, because real wisdom rests firmly on a foundation of compassion.
