1.)  First and foremost I want to pay tribute to our patient community who have been supporting us over the years as we get our acts together and strive to offer the best resources available to enable a community of the adequate to truly flourish.  Eudaimonia, that's the ticket!

So here we are!  One step forward, one turn down the ski-hill as we continue to carve this kosmic groove--skiing out of bounds where it's unknown and unsafe, running into trees and falling into holes along the way... but hey, somebody's gotta do it.

When Robb Smith came on board over a year ago, he shepherded us into realizing that we needed rebuild from the ground-up.  This process has put me in mind of Matthew 16:18 "...on this rock I will build my church..."
To offer all of the resources that this community needs, we needed to start from the bottom and build a rock.  And that's what we've been doing for the past year and a half, and we put just about everything else on hold to get it done.  But we're still just at the beginning, and there's a lot of work ahead of us; but this is where it gets fun.  Now that IntegralLife.com is live, we can all start working together, and the decisions and deployment will all go much faster and smoother because of this robust, integrated platform we're building on top of.

I can't tell you how excited I am to finally be in the place, and I'm happy you're here with us to experience each new step in the evolution of this communty.

2.)  Bug Update  as of 8/15/98

Fixed Bugs:
-cleared-up some confusion on the sign-up page
-resolved some problems with the flash media browser on the home and channel pages
-lots of theme clean-up
-fixed sorting algorithms on the Share page
-added community locator opt-in on sign-up form

Bugs that need to be fixed:
-a few issues with Firefox 3 and Internet Explorer 5
-more theming issues (blog preview in particular)
-some private messaging issues
-clicking on a member icon should go to their profile
-please let us know if you find more!
 

3.)  New features around the corner and beyond

• Just Added! Follow us on Twitter. Several of the staff post to Twitter regularly and we also have an IntegralLife feed that will be sharing corporate news, links to new articles and featured community posts, etc.  Integrallife  Staff: Robb Smith  Robert MacNaughton Angie Hinickle
• Updates to the Share page to give it more depth/span
• Updates to comment thread functionality
• Notification and subscription to comment threads--so you'll know if a blog post you've written or commented on has another comment
• Blog about this.  This will be a link from any media asset or article letting members comment or host conversations
• "Follow" a member.  This way you can "subscribe" to a member and be notified whenever they contribute
• New IntegralLife Store integrated into the site
• Groups.  This is a big project and will require a lot of strategy before we pull the trigger
• Other Social Networking features.  We're currently working with one feature that will let members aggregate all of their other social network presences into their member profile... this one's got so much power, just wait and see...
• And there's a lot more that goes beyond the community.
