Moved to new house last week

It felt weird here until I started unpacking my books onto the shelves.  We're not supposed to be attached to our stuff, but I'm really attached to my books.  Some of them I've had for more than 45 years.   I also unpacked some ratty old stuffed animals that made me feel more at home.  There was an ancient rabbit with a hole ripped in his sternum and stuffing popping out.  I hadn't seen him in years, until I packed him up at the old place.

books

 Hi Ruth,

yes I can understand your feelings towards books; same with me over here! Books are my best friends. (I'm kidding, but it's a lame joke. NO it's not ironic.) Books can be teachers, they are incredibly patient with us, and they never complain. I love the smell of new books, and the smell of old books. Did I mention that I love books. It's almost an addiction. A fetish. Hell no, I never had sex with a book, but it came close. You ever read 'Lady Chatterley'? Ahem.

So I guess I just want to wish you a Merry X-mas and that you feel at home in your new house soon.

Happy Holidays!
