Interests--the language of imagery in visual art, dreams, poetry, myth, Tarot and film. Weaving, stitching, drawing, painting. Dream work, and lucid dreaming. I have a layman's interest in biology, math, and complexity science. I think all biological species are fascinating and beautiful, although I have to admit that there are some that I find can be annoying or even dangerous (humans included).
I'm a political news junkie. I like reading books on consciousness development, whose teachings I then often forget to apply.
I'm often not happy about being in a body, particularly a woman's body, which I think entails more physical suffering than being a man. But I am working on that.
I often feel an opening to alternate dimensions. I am interested in the idea of my own death.
I love trees, but I don't hug them. I live next to a forest in Northern Minnesota, a large section of which is made up of large cedars.
I am Latina, and have Christian, Jewish, and Eastern Band Cherokee ancestry. I have explored those traditions and finally thrown up my hands in frustration. Religious doctrines don't make sense to me. I feel that I am part of a larger Being, but don't feel the urge to elaborate on its nature or pick apart my contractual obligations to it. And I see no reason to try to convince anyone else that it is there.
One of my most important teachers is the marijuana plant, as it usually brings up things buried in the psyche, and always shows me how to open to their lessons. My other teacher is my inner mind, which sends me dreams and flashes of insight.
I run a retail website that sells earth- and animal-friendly yarns to fiber artists.
I jog four or five miles a day. I love to sleep. I am 52 years old, and I like being that age.
