Infinite Perception in the perspective of a Finite Mind
“If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear as it is, infinite.” William Blake
I’ve had plenty of instances in my life where I felt I was trying to look at a large landscape through a small window. A strong feeling overcomes me, an emotional longing arises, mixed in with a sense of wonder, and slight frustration. Coming to the realization of that fact that not only is my perception is limited, but of how limited it really is, is a daily adjustment, especially since I’ve experienced a perception beyond this. A perception so open, so broad, it split me open just to take it in. In other words, I don’t have to imagine what it will be like, for I’ve gotten a taste of it, and now all I have to do is follow the vibrations that take me back. It involves a continual burning of the attachment to old thought systems and emotional pasts that were not released. It is a burning that is so uncomfortable and yet so beautiful all at the same time. It involves a level of disillusionment to let the expectations of what is fade, but there is great peace in leaving the illusion behind even if it means your world falling apart to gain full view of the bigger picture.
There are moments in life, when all the variables are in the right place to allow the mind to open up and relax so perception is opened up and deepened to where I can feel the workings of this grand universe. In allowing feelings to flow through me and guide the present experience, there is a feeling of wholeness, completeness, even perfection. It is those glimpses out of my own personal mind that keep me on this search for what clear perception of the infinite looks like, taste like, feels like. And in this continual release I can feel my body learning to live this new reality, this eternal truth.
