Because of Who

Is

There could be a Center and a School with it, for the kids there - I have the system planned out. A system based on community, on respect, honoring, love, joy. Where everyone can have as much as they want because there is enough to know how much that is. An entirely different system of education. I have the numbers figured out. The logistics. I've even looked at spaces. I've looked at places I could go and move kids to my family from the lowest end of fostercare in the lowest end of town. I'd go right in ... to the territory. 10 beds, 6 to start.  I thought 20 bed but 2 with 10 is better. They could be attached to the same school. I know 1 person who I want to work there, besides myself, I could find her again. I don't know exactly what non-profit entails, but I'd in short time receive funding. And I'd still, by that point, have plenty in what does, in not very much time apparently, become 'passive income'

I would hand pick the staff. I would be there every day.  I'd pay my staff well. I would train them well. I would demonstrate well. I would be a great example. We would all sit at the table for meals. 5 staff from 9p.m. to 9a.m. (no one would mind, because of how awesome. At least soon, the kids would be in school during the day. 5 from 2-9, eventually 12-9 when the school was ours. Even before that, they'd be there together, the district school.Maybe 1 or 2 extra people, as needed, I might say - to help cook (I'd do breakfast, because I'm awesome at breakfast. I'd have plenty of time to make lunch...I'd get to know what they each liked. They could be vegetarian, or not - whatever. I don't cook meat, maybe someone else would want to learn how. We'd all - staff and myself - make dinner - we'd rotate responsibilities. 2 and 2 and 2. The kids would be kids when they came in. If they wanted to, they could work there at 17 or 18, they would have years of perfect training. If they wanted to stay, they could. If they wanted to find other work, we'd figure something out, we'd get them there. We'd figure something out. Of course we would. We'd be a family. We would be set. for life. There would be no 'getting in' no tricks. I would go get them. I would bring them to me.

I'll show the world what it means to have a family.

Thanks

Kari, who, out of nowhere, left an insistent message about a check she is sending because she had a feeling my financiochallengia was remnnant. Her words were slightly different.

Without my even having said anything, she says, since she is building her home with sticks :) and living in a stick house rent free before the completion and certainly even after - that she would take on the burden she has at long last put down of monthly rental payments - for this month, because. And she is upset when she feels like I will become houseless and not tell her.

Yo!! I am between being so excited and a little bit trepidatious and grateful and worried and trusting and doubting and...well, I  - well - you know...

She has been hearing about my Center for years. She is skeptical about this finansocreatoria. Sure. I am a little bit also -

Sure.

But you know, o my toast! It could really be happening.

Yo!!!!!! neatopedito {Kari, God bless you...}

If

we could come up with a team of even 4 or 5 people who were all doing this, we could set up a center within two years.

It could incorporate all 4 or 5 people's particular interest, most likely.

Like, a center for children, an alterntive to foster care, and, like if people are interested in some other type of thing and need a space for that, the main space could be used, or if someone is really good at the business side of ... well, business, I guess - that would be really helpful. And if someone has studied law, that would be extremely helpful. And if someone has an MSW, that too would be really helpful. Or if someone just really likes to cook, that would be so helpful, or if someone is a contractor and knows how to fix and do things with houses easily, that would be totally way helpful, or if someone has worked with 'youth-at-risk' and enjoys it - or if someone lives nearby, and wants to journey around the foster care system, or sw...or even if someone doesn't live nearby and wants to do that

Any number of things. If we found 4 people who like doing things on computers and arranging websites for much of the day, between all of us, we could easily make enough to begin seriously planning and researching within a year.

Does anyone really enjoy cooking, or has studied law, or something - and likes the idea of being able to earn income from your home, and is interested in working on this project with me? Let me know here, and I'll send you an invitation to the seminar Tuesday, or we'll talk about arranging something.

If we could find a way to estabish essentially the same goals or intentions about this, even just intentions that simply support one another, it would help all members of the group. Like for example, I know this is in no way actual yet, but like - if you really like to cook, and especifally if you would want to help me to really start this whole center project, of course, if you wanted, you would have a place working with us, and cooking meals for the center - which, meals will always need cooking, that pretty much guarantees something for life, if the Center is on its um feet and um running.

Of course, we wouldn't begin a residential anything until we were absolutely certain it was stable.

Anyone?

Let me know
