Marcel Duchamp
Oftentimes, when we, as associoreferencing human mammals, tend to take advantage of associoreferentia, or our capacity for associoreferrentiation and/or "expanded metaphor", we have, in the past, tended to become confused about where specifically, edges should go - or rather, about where, specifically, it is that we want to put them. It can be a challenge when it seems that the forms of form are, or perhaps appear to be continually expanding and whirling about, "swirling" , or "spiraling" in multidirectional, multidimensional, and certainly multicontextual lines and layers.
As M. Duchamp's work continues to remind us, symbols and metaphors for things are not the symbolized metaphored things themselves. That is, except when they are.
I don't actually know much in detail about the life of Marcel Duchamp, as I was never familiar with him, personally, while he was alive. Anyhow, the story goes that M. Duchamp retired relatively early into his art career, and spent the rest of his life playing chess in parks, or something along this line. But I could be mistaken. After all, it is just a story.

Wrong
Posted May 30th, 2011 by Christophe Witz'This is not a pipe' was not painted by Marcel Duchamp but René Magritte.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
No surprise, though. Integral folks have no clue how to judge modern art. They are too much entangled in their "My perspective is superior than yours" mind game. Shame on you. (not on you, Shikha. You're innocent)
Here's my original Art blog on Marcel Duchamp that I wrote in 2009.
