My ILP reflections #1
Mind and Body: Planning heatlh goals for the Providence Health Adventure. I work for the Providence Health System. It will start in a few weeks and will last for 8 weeks. It will be an online event. I like this because it is a system wide participation. So it will be neat to reflect on the different Quadrants as I particiapte.
Mind and Spirit: Starting Life journaling. It is a form of journaling where one reads a scripture and reflects on its meaning, then its relevance and application. The end of the process integrates prayer. This process gives me a sense of focus and direction. Also, I have been attending a church near where I live regularly and part of my growth is showing up and participating in corporate worship "with the group." Not sure this will be my future home church. May move somewhere else in the future. Not sure yet where I want to put my time and energy into.
Shadow: Continue to explore the hidden dimensions of my behaviors and stumbling blocks. Not sure if polarity therapy is related but I use this when I am in conflict with a dual issue in my life. I hold both sides via presence. I give space to whatever is arising and I concentrate on the line in between. Like the line in between the yin and the yang. I actually find that a lot of space is generated and what was an issue just isn't anymore. Last week I was gently reminded that I 'have' emotions and am 'not' them. Easy to forget sometimes when emotions are strong and confusing and relating is mulitfacited. So I continue to explore this side of things and have the courage to grow if needed.
Tonight I will stay at home, cook some good food and maybe do some life journaling. I like to take time to relax. Feeling 'hermitish' today. Tomorrow will meet with a friend and his son and experience that part of the quadrant, the Lower Left that is. Maybe some of the LR too as I will be out in the world.
Blessings for your integral life! :-)
