To Dave Logan - Open Letter

Dear Dave, Thanks for sharing your work with us. I have been studying it and loving it. Your vision that places of employment could be settings in which people can be nurtured in their growth and transformation rather than being crashed down to earlier levels at least while working looks beautiful to me. And thanks for joining in with our cyber tribe.

 

You had asked for any information on companies that might be functioning at the most developed level. I would suggest that you look at companies whose leaders have appreciated and been influenced by Ken Wilber for a period of time. Some ideas off the top of my head are:

 

Integral Life

Harvard’s Graduate School of Education

Soundstrue

Whole Foods

Your Company

 

Could any of our members add to this list?  (This is an actual question hoping for answers.) It would be cool if we knew who these companies are because Dave’s theory is that working there would involve very little fear, stress and suffering and much passion, growth, fun, and joy. Instead of paying high fees to attend an endless stream of seminars, workshops, and retreats we could merely show up to work and give it our all. Maybe Dave could keep us up to date with what he finds out there.

 

Since you predict that companies at the highest level would be the most successful you could also sift through the most successful companies.

Great comment, Stanley!  Thank you--and I say that on behalf of our tribe, especially John King (my longtime business partner), Halee Fischer-Wright and Jack Bennett.  We would be extremely interested in learning about any examples of tribes (groups of 20-150) that are stable at Stage Five.  If these tribes run organizations (e.g., a board of directors or an executive committee), our interest goes up even more.
