A Good Day
John Dupuy has designed a good day of practice for healing and transformation. It goes something like this:
- snack -nuts and tea
- hatha yoga
- 1 hour meditation (binaural)
- 10 minutes journal
- discuss with group what came up
- breakfast
- talk - cognitive - integral map
- lunch
- time off - relax, rest, walk in nature, enjoy life without drugs
- gym - 45 minutes strength training
- 1 hr meditation (binaural)
- journal
- group
- dinner
- relaxing, writing, uplifting movies, play music, laugh
It sounds like a good day. John is seeing how integral theory works on a daily basis down on the ground and apprarently it is working well. I would like to see more offerings from John here. He could run a camera as he is giving his talks. His people could consider sharing some of their journals as blogs here.
Imagine being over taken by a monster who enters right into your very body and mind and causes you to ruin yourself, your life, and harm the very ones that you love. That is what it might be like to have to live with addiction. Let's remember John and his people in our prayers.

"Good day"
Posted June 18th, 2010 by AstridHi Stanley, I like your post and suggestions.
Somehow, my awareness of what a good day is shifts. A day full of work, tasks, talks, thoughts, writings, reading about shadow work, and a night full of really bad dreams - but I've had the impression it was a good day. Because something was going on, the contrary of being stuck.
I appreciate the list you noted here, because it's looking at a "good day" from a different, an exterior angle. (UL, the "monster" term you used reminded me of the cherished book "Feeding your demons", by T. Allione.)
Let's remember John and his people in our prayers. Amen.

One day at a time!
Posted June 18th, 2010 by Mary Linda LandauerHi Stan, what a big heart you have. John is courageous and he just needs to get through one day at a time doesn't he? A good reminder for all of us. I shall hold John, and all beings working to be clean of addiction, in my prayers.
With love always,
Mary Linda

Awesome!
Posted June 17th, 2010 by Jennifer GroveBeautiful, Stanley. You are Captain Encouragement! John is awesome!
Nuts and tea sounds like a good idea. I am having a hell of a time finding something to eat in the am that doesn't make me too drowsy to stay awake. Even if I were to excercize, I would get sleepy after I ate. It's torment. I can't get anything done unless I just don't eat. Then I get the whole low blood-sugar thing going on and it only gets worse.
