Let's Be Gnostic Intermediaries
We will transmit integral wisdom to other cultures.
How?
- Gain integral knowledge and then grow into wisdom.
- Translate this wisdom into their language. Master their language and be very skillful at their game. Speak more than a muddle of babbled words.
- Apply integral ideas to our own lives. Be effective in our own lives.
- Make the pilgrimage to the higher Self. Study This from the exterior and experience It from the interior. "Oh dear one, constantly strive to practice this awareness. Your pride will soon melt away. Your mind will become as pure as the waters of the Ganges. You will discover the unity in all" Muktananda.
- Self assessment. Never underestimate the power of denial.
- Growth relationships. Make an explicit agreement to have an intimate relationship serve learning, growth, healing, awakening, and service to a cause bigger than the two of us. Give each other permission to tell the truth and fasten your seat belt. O.K. Fasten tightly. If the leaders of the integral movement want to think of themselves as persons who freely contribute to the integral cause how come they do not contribute on a frequent basis to this blog?
Let's be gnostic intermediaries.
If not us than who?
It is a joy to hear Ken and Roger talking together. They are clearly warm friends who support and admire one another. Let us at least learn to do this.

Translate wisdom into their language
Posted April 22nd, 2010 by David EstapeHi Stanley,
You say:
"Translate this wisdom into their language. Master their language and be very skillful at their game. Speak more than a muddle of babbled words."
I find this extremely interesting.
Shouldn't integral individuals (that already have reached 2nd tier awareness) be able to articulate a multi-level message that atracts each of the different first tier levels? Where are this kind of leaders?
What are the chances of this integral boddhisattva to enter politics (with success)? In which country is this more likely to happen? Or is it necessary that a majority of the population reaches 2nd tier in a democracy in order to see this happen?
My guess is that someone with integral understanding can master the language and game of any specific altitude (of course!), but simply cannot simultaneously mantain multiple public messages addressed to different audiences (in different altitudes). He would be (erroneously) perceived by first tiers as someone incoherent and maquiavelic, instead of someone truly integral.
I would appreciate your answers and comments,
Namaste,
David

Yahoo - and Yet...
Posted October 30th, 2009 by Jennifer GroveI love this term. It's gorgeous! He articulated the experience very well.
And yet... something is in the way. Something which they talked about earlier - which I will have to listen to again to check for holes - the Academic gatekeepers are baring the way for people who are already well acquainted with the territory. When talking about something new, there is no criteria yet to be measured against. So if I am talking about Integral and someone who doesn't understand what I'm saying at all says, "Well, since you don't have a degree, you are not qualified to talk about the "whole neuron"." I'm shut out.
At the last moments in this audio my jaw dropped open when they talked about the relationships bit. They were talking as if this were some wonderful new idea freshly blown in on the Integral winds of change! I'm having trouble forming words for how I feel about this now...
I could have taught classes on this in the late 70's while I was in High School. I feel embarrassed to say that. It sounds absurd. And it is. I don't know why I had knowledge of this territory at that young age. I can't explain it. All I can say is that I've suffered alot because no one else around me saw it. I've tried every version of not knowing what I know and that just doesn't really work. When something is real, it's real and God help the first person who sees it.
I'm going to print and post your list on my wall. It's really wonderful. And now to bed and to sleep and to awakening in a world that finally sees what I see.
It's difficult to not delete that paragraph. I want to delete it. I don't want any more of the pain of acknowledging this. It hurts so much. But I'm going to watch it arise and be with it.
