What Value Love?

I was deeply moved learning from Warren that men were ten times more likely to commit suicide after divorce than women. He said that a reason for this is that men despair from losing their connection to love. This graphically illustrates that men value love much.

Hopefully society will learn to treat men fairly especially in terms of allowing them to maintain their connection to love through their children. And no matter how much society improves, the nature of samsara is impermanence. It would be good for men to learn to connect to love through ever expanding circles of beings up to including all beings.

Another good result of listening to these conversations is a loosing of our exclusive identification as being our roles. As long as we are active we will play roles but these need not be our only source of identity. Warren and Ken spoke of role mate or soul mate but perhaps our goal should be role mate and soul mate
