Abstract Dilemmas, Concrete Dilemmas

When you are in a difficult relationship, how do you cope?

You are troubled, but you don't know why.

You would like to be a good person, but what does this mean?

Something happens, you react -- then wonder, have I done the right thing?

What intelligence is this? What wisdom?

Life is beautiful, life is a horror. You can see more than you can heal.

Get me out of here, or make me numb. Make me numb with drugs, or laughter.

Indifference. That is sane, no?

Love, love more, love is the way, love till it hurts.

Till it hurts? You gotta be kidding, right? Till it hurts?

OK, it hurts. Now what?

What have you got, big man, what can you do?

Show me. Show me what you got, Mr. FixIt.

Is that it? A bit of kindness? A bit of discernment?

OK, my turn. Here's what I've got.

A giant rocket that screams into the sky and rains terror and light onto millions of souls.

See? And you know what. It fucking works; they leave us alone.

Peace in our time.

What you got?

Relationship With Myself

Here's what I'm learning today:

That I cannot avoid becoming what I hate. There is no escape.

Except, of course, for murder and suicide - as you describe. But evolution seems to want me to not do that for some reason. So, bound by these ever tightening restrictions, this is what it comes down to.

I am what I hate.
