Pythagoreans

Dear ILPians-

I often feel as if I've snuck into the secret school of Pythagoreans circa 2008.

Perhaps it's some space time dilation mechanism I can't conceive of being in motion, but it feels good to be a part of.

I threw away my television for this.

Question. If it takes five years to actually grow-enlight-blossom through a level perhaps there will soon exist a space-time dilation mechanism which when put in motion speeds the process down (or up)? We know the ol four minute mile is now a two minute mile.  How long and slow can one possibly make the marathon? Some of us like to carve down the mountain in masterfully lazy strides ~~~ spiraling the cone of gravity? Is this my shadow speaking? aHHHHHHH! what is the point of all this!!!!!!

Speaking of Pythagoreans, is it true that students spent the first five years in silence?

If you do not respond that would mean you are the silent student and I am the teacher.

That would scare me.
