Incredible perspective! It took me 3 rounds of repeated listening to process Leonard Shlain's perspective on Art and Physics. I am fascinated by it.

Musing On Evolution

 I don't see it entirely as something for the head, but a reminder to pay attention to other aspects of our being, which I guess starts with the head.  It reminds of Terry Patton saying with our over developed Left Brains, it is like we are hopping around on one very strong, well developed leg.

Now my question, what is the new art that is going to create the next paradim in science?  My sister-in-law and I kicked it around and all we could come up with was Photoshop and "reality" TV, which create alternate realities, and String Theory, which posits 11 linked, but different realities.

 

Television mimics art and life mimics television.
