Integral Life Practice is here!!

Available Now!

Integral Life Practice: A 21st-Century Blueprint for Physical Health, Emotional Balance, Mental Clarity, and Spiritual Awakening (Integral Books/Shambhala/Random House, Boston, September 2008)

Last weekend I traveled to Colorado for a reunion with my co-authors, and a launch of our new book. We all gathered together in Ken's loft to catch up, exchange high-fives, and raise a glass to the "birth" of our new "baby" (after almost three years in the editorial "womb.")

Marco, Adam and I had a chance to practice together and meet up with a whole variety of old friends, including Robb Smith, CEO of Integral Life, and our friends at Boulder Integral who threw a book launch party on Saturday night! It was hosted by Nomali Perera and Ross Hostetter, attended by dear Integral friends Huy Lam and Jason Digges, and many others—including a new contingent of grassroots Integral activists who caravaned up together from Sedona.

One of my key missions in life is to serve people's practice and growth in awareness, so the appearance of this book is a major milestone. I've been gratified by the early word from those who read it immediately. Some are excited about it as a flesh-and-blood introduction to living Integral Consciousness (some have even called it "the best introduction to Integral yet!") Others are focused mostly on it as a truly usable Integral practice guide ("I didn't think an introductory book would give me so much pesonal meaning, value and inspiration!") If you're interested in seeing more about the book, we have a dedicated website, where you can also get on our authors' mailing list. It's www.integral-life-practice.com.

Over the coming months I expect to post here periodically, offering new reflections about practice, and answers to questions that seem worth sharing. I hope you enjoy the book!

Great Book!!

I have been waiting for this type of book to come out (and stumbled across it at Barnes and Noble earlier this week, by chance)!  Don't get me wrong, I love SES, No Boundary, et al.  but this is the first book that actually walks me through how to set up an integral framework for my own life.  It is practical!  It reads like an instruction manual and does a fabulous job of explaining how to actually set up an integral life practice.

I have only read the first 5 chapters so far, but plan on posting a complete review when I am finished.  I am especially excited to hear how others have applied this book to setting up their own ILP's.  This book was long over due, thanks!

PS:  This book is so easy to read!  It seems you have reduced the integral approach to its simplest form.

Thanks Terry

I love this book, especially the chapter on the Spirit module. It was a true work of art and a deep inspiration for me. Keep up the great work.
