I'm a recovering (Integral) boomer veteran of 30 years of spiritual practice. I live in San Rafael, California with my wife, Deborah, although of late I've been traveling more than home. My son, Michael, is a sophomore at NYU (Film.)

Career

I co-authored Integral Life Practice: A 21st-Century Blueprint for Physical Health, Emotional Balance, Mental Clarity and Spiritual Awakening together with Ken Wilber, Adam Leonard, and Marco Morelli. (Integral Books/Shambhala/Random House; 2008)

From 2004 to 2007  I worked with Ken Wilber and the core team at Integral Institute to develop Integral Life Practice, which distills ancient and modern practices into an intelligent contemporary transformational lifestyle.

I've coached numerous high-performance individuals through key career and life transitions.  Clientele includes high-level executives, physicians, attorneys, technology professionals, consultants, trainers, and spiritual teachers. I'm also a trained integral organizational consultant and have helped numerous entrepreneurs and businesses assess and manage key transitions and developmental challenges.

I founded and, from 1987 to 1998, guided the Tools For Exploration catalog, which first presented and educated about the many emerging brain-mind machines, subtle energy tools, and other cutting-edge technologies for expanding awareness. There, I developed, manufactured, and/or published numerous original products, including:

• The Breathwork Explorer breath biofeedback tool (with Ray Wolfe of Photosonix and Dr. Julian Isaacs)
• The Awakened Mind psychoacoustic audio recordings (with brainwave biofeedback pioneer Anna Wise)
• The Attention! Psychoacoustic audio recording (with brainwave biofeedback expert, Dr. Paul Swingle)
• The acclaimed Neuro-Acoustic Laboratories recordings, The Five Directions.
• Later I worked with the Institute of HeartMath as the project manager of the team that developed the highly successful Freeze-Framer® Emotional Management Heart Rate Variability Monitor

Hobbies and Interests

• I'm passionate about addressing our evolutionary emergency, and have been active in the Obama campaign and visited Iran as a civilian diplomat in 2007.
• When I'm able, I love hiking and swimming in the beautiful wilds of Marin County and Northern California.
• I love dancing and yoga.
• I love floating in my sensory deprivation (Samadhi) tank.
