We do not need gross mind (brain) implants - we have enough "chips" in the subtle and causal minds.

Over 50 years ago, L.Ron Hubbard demonstrated the presence of "electronic" implants in the subtle and causal energy fields of human beings, through measurement of resistance to direct current flow through the "meridians". And through extensive experimentation and subsequent practice, the same technology has been used to decrease the effect/affect of a/o eliminate these implants, resulting in "spiritual" development into what we have been discussing as "second tier" levels and higher.

While this technology has been restricted to those who can demontrate sufficient ethical development that they can be trusted not to abuse it, much of the research results have been published. And most of the barriers to spiritual development which the Integral community have recently identified and found means of addressing, e.g. the three kinds of shadows, were published 50 years ago by Hubbard. 

Before we speak of adding new electronic implants to the gross body, we may want look into the adverse effects of the implants we already have. Of course. Along with all of the rest of the religious traditions, we may need to accept that the Church of Scientology may be "partly" correct, may have something to contribute to our "integral" understandings.
