Join Dr. Marilyn Hamilton, author of Integral City: Evolutionary Intelligences for the Human Hive, and learn why citizens, city managers, city planners, public administrators and social activists are learning from this new paradigm of the city. In this session, Marilyn will explore how she applied the Integral Model to the city-scale of human systems. Marilyn will share her thinking behind the 12 intelligences that reveal how to view the city in context, understand the contributions of individuals, encourage the emergence of collective capacity, develop operational strategies and evolve city resilience. Marilyn will offer reasons why these intelligences are vital for a meta-map of city wholeness and how one Master Rule enables each person to create conditions for resilience in the human hive.

Marilyn Hamilton Bio:

Marilyn Hamilton, PhD, CGA founder of Integral City Meshworks Inc. and TDG Global Learning Connections, uses the integral framework to design change in the city that is ecologically informed and operationally integrated. She is a charter member of Integral Institute and Spiral Dynamics Integral International Training Board. Author of Integral City: Evolutionary Intelligences for the Human Hive (2008, New Society Publishers), she maps out an eco-regional manifesto that reveals the “Human Hive” as an evolutionary system.
