Paul Smith

Paul Smith is an author, teacher, and minister at Broadway Church in Kansas City, Missouri. His most recent book is Integral Christianity: The Spirit's Call to Evolve, which Wilber says "is an absolutely superb application of Integral Theory in all its dimensions to Christianity itself." Following his leadership over the last forty-eight years, Broadway Church has evolved from a traditional Southern Baptist church to one that embraces the principals of integral theory and practice framed in the progressive Christian tradition. Now aligned with the Alliance of Baptists, various attempts were made over the past decades to remove the church from the Southern Baptist Convention over women in leadership, the denial of a punishing God, calling god "Mother," and finally succeeding eight years ago when the church began performing gay unions. Paul may be contacted at www.revpaulsmith.com and paulsmith@revpaulsmith.com
