About the Author

Shabnam Curtis
Shabnam Curtis was born and raised in Tehran, experiencing the Iranian Revolution of 1979 firsthand. In 2004 she immigrated to the United States, where she now works as a passionate life coach and a writer. Shabnam is a certified Integral Coach with New Ventures West and International Coaching Federation. She offers one-on-one coaching sessions as well as workshops for groups. Her focus and passion are on adult development through practicing vertical development theories. On the journey of self-growth, through Integral coaching practices, she empowers others to see their strengths and capabilities in all different areas of their lives to actualize more of their potential for a deeper connection to life. As an author, she teaches memoir writing workshops integrating a narrative coaching style. She has been performing college lectures and interviews with podcasts about her memoir, My Persian Paradox, and the concept of sharing stories and approaching our narratives more comprehensively. She has served as a Project Analyst on Performance Measurement for Government contracts, including DOD, TSA, NAVY, FAA, & NASA, for over two decades.
