8. Ladder, Climber, View

Ken offers a simple metaphor for growth and development, known as “ladder, climber, view”, which demonstrates the important differences between a particular stage of development and the view of the world that can be seen from that stage. As we continue to develop through these stages, the “rungs” in the ladder are transcended and included as we climb, but the view from those rungs is lost forever.
