Keith Witt and Corey deVos explore the cybernetics of love—how all living systems, from bodies to relationships to cultures, regulate themselves through feedback and adaptation. Drawing from Norbert Wiener’s original insights and W. Ross Ashby’s Law of Requisite Variety (“only variety can absorb variety”), they show that power in any system doesn’t come from control, but from flexibility—the capacity to sense, respond, and evolve.

Seen through an Integral lens, cybernetics illuminates the Lower-Right dimension of life—the interobjective networks of communication and control—but it also resonates across all four quadrants: as self-awareness in the mind, co-regulation in relationships, self-regulation in the body, and adaptive intelligence in society. Keith and Corey unpack how warmth, flexibility, firmness, and resolve form the essential feedback architecture of thriving love and leadership, and how “post-issue relationships” become self-correcting systems oriented toward growth rather than drama.

Ultimately, the conversation reveals that love itself is a cybernetic force—the universe’s way of learning, healing, and maintaining coherence through ever-expanding loops of feedback and compassion.
