Many of today’s most influential integral, integrative, metamodern metacrisis conversations are driven by extraordinary efforts to make sense of an increasingly complex world. These frameworks, maps, and meta-theories (and “meta-meta theories!”) offer valuable insights into the challenges facing humanity. Yet what happens when cognition becomes the primary currency of value? What forms of wisdom become harder to see?

This interactive session explores a neglected polarity at the heart of attending to the metacrisis: understanding the world and accompanying the world. Through reflection, dialogue, and practice, we’ll examine how over-identification with sensemaking can unintentionally exclude other vital forms of intelligence and contribution—and how a more developmentally mature vision might make room for them.

Together, we’ll ask a deceptively simple question:

Who gets to help save the world?

And perhaps discover that the answer is broader, more human, and more hopeful than we imagined.
