Join this session to explore some important questions such as, how do Integrally informed individuals of good faith make more informed sense of the issues and challenges that face us today. How does the Integral right regard Donald Trump, Joe Biden, Barack Obama and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.? How aware are we of our own mindsets, worldviews, values and intentions in relation to such sense-making? How have we formed our current political positions and what is the nature of our self-identification with these alignments? Are these recently formed points of view, or have we loyally been oriented to tribal partisanships for years or decades? Most importantly, what is our conscious and unconscious relationship to our good intentions to be a “morally good” person on the one hand, and how do we otherwise relate to facts, data and evidence-based information that has the potential to disrupt powerful feelings and strongly held beliefs?

Get present with yourself, connect with other men, and come away with more clarity about what's ready to happen next in your life. The session will include some light embodiment practices, individual check-ins, breakout rooms to go deep with another man, and space for a few men to get deeper support from the entire group. This will not be a conceptual or teaching-oriented group - your lives will be the focus!

Those of us influenced by an Integral perspective generally believe that we are in the middle of another cultural stage transition from postmodern to whatever is next. For me, the very nature of these transitions can best be described as… the old stories are falling away as the new ones have yet to stabilize. According to our current Vital Signs narrative analysis the normal chaos, confusion and lack of grounding we are experiencing during this current transition is being further amplified in America as we attempt to move from white, patriarchal governance to a multi-cultural orientation without violence. When I left Integral Life at the end of 2018 I set out to conduct narrative analysis and create documentary media about the stories we were telling about the now and future. In mid-2023 our focus at Vital Signs of America zeroed in on a question I never thought I would ask in my life time… “is democracy really threatened in America?”
Uncertainment Lounge is not a relativistic refuge from truth-seeking or certainty, nor a panacea, or a therapy, but rather a practice space for embodied participatory knowing. Practicing together in/as the polarity of knowing and not-knowing builds capacity to turn toward the unknowable, the uncontrollable, and the mysterious as they emerge within and between us in real time.

In this Integral Life members' forum we begin each session with an objective topic & move into an internal, 1st person exploration to develop greater insights into our inner wisdom. Through meditation, guided reflection and personal sharing as a group, as well as in smaller breakouts, we explore our unique personal experiences that help us embody the Sage within each of us. We apply an Integral lens to investigate how wisdom evolves across our lifespan both individually and collectively.
