Join us for an illuminating panel presentation on ILiA’s (Integral Leadership in Action) transformative role in tackling complex challenges. This panel brings together experts from various disciplines, each well-versed in integral philosophy, to explore how this holistic approach enhances problem-solving, leadership, and daily practice.

Why Embodied, Embedded, Enacted and Extended? This is a concept that comes from the field of Cognitive Science (or 4E Cognitive Science), where it is taught that cognition is:

  • Embodied in our senses and in our lived, physical reality
  • Embedded in a cultural and social context
  • Enacted through experiential problem solving
  • Extended across tools, devices and collaborators

We feel this is true for leadership in our lives. Leadership doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Similar to this idea, we will explore how leadership manifests across the four quadrants of Integral Theory.

Through engaging discussions and thought-provoking insights, attendees will gain a deeper appreciation for the value of embracing complexity and adopting an integral mindset in both personal and professional contexts. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or new to the concept, this panel promises to inspire, challenge, and equip you with the tools needed to navigate the intricate tapestry of our modern world.

Meet the Panelists:

Bett Bollhoefer
With 23 years of experience as a tech leader, including former CTO roles at an AI company, and almost 2 years at Meta & Instagram, Bett has also authored 8 self-published books. These cover topics ranging from software architecture and self-publishing to software development, effective meetings, and daily yoga practices. Beyond tech, Bett is an entrepreneurial wellness advocate, currently CEO of Redwood Forest Insights, a software startup. The company aims to provide small organizations with the same insights as larger counterparts. The inspiration behind the name comes from redwood trees, mirroring their mycelial root network for intercommunication. Bett bridges ancient traditions like yoga with modern science, and she’s drawn to using Spiral Dynamics for understanding organizational development. Residing in Oakland, CA, she shares her life with her husband Steve and their three rescued cats: Hansel, Gretel, and Hamlet.

Tyler Davis
Tyler Davis is an integrally-aligned personal trainer who explores the depths of nature and new ways to connect with his body. In 2023, he started a company that helps people get outdoors and learn to open up to and enhance their multiple intelligences. Tyler has been training his mind and body for 22 years – to his edge and beyond – and spent six years serving in the US Army (Infantry, Recon, Sniper), four of which in a leadership position focused on Physical Readiness Training. When not contemplating life in his backyard, Tyler can be found hitting the heavy bag, throwing darts, or renovating his home and furniture.

Kim Harpham
Kim loves teaching/learning. Holistically, Integrally, riding the polarity. Having taught myriad subjects and coached various sports in secondary and post-secondary public schools, she failed at retirement. Instead, she found Integral and helped formalize Integral Leadership in Action [ she resonated with each word in that name]. Simultaneously, she joined Southern Oregon University’s School of Education, where they formed the Center for Holistic Education. She continues to integrate home, family, and interconnectedness with Nature with the peculiar weird tasks of event planning, promo, new strategies, infinity, AND her continual teaching/learning.

Victoria Perez
Victoria challenges and supports people to step up and grow in multi-dimensional ways. She works with teams and individuals to enhance leadership across the enterprise, improving cross-functional collaboration and catalyzing better business results. She is an integrator at heart, and as an avid student of human development, she understands how people grow and develop – intellectually, interpersonally, emotionally, ethically, physically, and spiritually.
