Integral Church: Beginning Again
This event starts in:
This Integral Life Experience is only available to the supporting members
We are very pleased to announce a new monthly Integral Church service, available to all supporting members of Integral Life.
This will be an opportunity to gather, to share, and to celebrate the ongoing emergence of God’s love in our lives and in our world. It is a place where people from all religious backgrounds and traditions can dialogue and grow in awareness and understanding, a safe place where we can grow together into a more unitive/universal/integral enactment of religion and spirituality.
This session will be recorded for the Member’s Library.
This Month’s Theme: “Where do we begin? What is emerging when we think of Religion/Spirituality? What we are doing is not the first Reformation.”
About Integral Church
Integral Church invites you into the power of sacred dialogue. In dialogue, one listens to the other side(s) in order to understand, find meaning, and find agreement. In debate, one listens to the other side in order to find flaws and to counter its arguments. Dialogue enlarges and possibly changes a participant’s point of view, whereas debate affirms a participant’s own point of view. (For a more developmental view of debate, dialogue, and discourse, be sure to check this episode of our Inhabit series with Corey DeVos and Ryan Oelke.)
A good dialogue offers those who participate the opportunity to:
- Listen and be listened to so that all speakers can be heard
- Speak and be spoken to in a respectful manner
- Develop or deepen mutual understanding
- Learn about the perspectives of others,
- Reflect in fresh ways on one’s own views
We hope you will join us in this inaugural Integral Church service!
