Helen offers a stunning presentation about the narrative tradition of the Enneagram, taking us on a guided journey into the nine fundamental patterns of being.
While certainly primitive compared to modern humans, our ancestors created the first stories of our place in the unfolding Kosmos, and were the first to notice the nine patterns discussed by Helen—nine different responses to the question of what stands between us and our fullest spiritual embodiment. Helen skillfuly integrates these ancient traditions with modern and postmodern ways of knowing, and brings a new depth to our integral understanding of the Enneagram.
Helen then demonstrates the Narrative Tradition interview method with Jeff Salzman, Diane Hamilton, and Chris Cullander. Her facilitation reveals the strengths, weaknesses, joys, and sorrows of each type, as experienced by Jeff’s “type 5”, Diane’s “type 2”, and Chris’s “type 8” personalities.

7/18/18: Question for Helen Palmer
After hearing the enlivening discussion about the interviews of the Desert Fathers (and Mothers) regarding the obstacles they experienced to Higher Consciousness, I am wondering about the classification of the “Vices” (Seven Deadly Sins ). Did these categories occur as a result of the interviews that were done or were they known before?
Thanks,
Dianne Pierson
